The article is part of a master's thesis on the topic "Radical reform in education - individuality instead of unification" in Pedagogy to acquire the qualification "Teacher of Economic Disciplines" at IU - Varna, protected with Excellent

For a child to be successful, it is important what kind of character he has. It is true that children are just born some. But temper can still be modeled. Good, kind character leads to trust. And it consists of two components - integrity and competence. But they must be present at the same time in the character. Because a person may be honest, but if he does not have the necessary knowledge and skills for the given thing, we cannot trust him. The reverse is also true. We have an extremely capable person, but if he is not honest in his dealings with people, he also arouses distrust and is rejected.

Parents today have concentrated on their children being good students and getting only excellent grades. Instead of focusing on what kind of people they are becoming. It is difficult to raise a good student. But it is even more difficult to raise a good person. And the second is more important, not only for the child's success, but also for his personal happiness. A child's character is revealed in the small details of everyday life. Naturally, the child will make mistakes. The task of the parent is to react correctly so that he can realize his mistake and not make the same mistake again.

Today we are witnessing how the importance of character is being neglected. We live in a world dominated by a lack of values. People continue to believe that success is not due to skill, risk taking, responsibility and good character. They believe they only need good connections, cash, and a scheme to screw the other person, whoever they are. They believe that if a problem cannot be solved with money, it will be solved with a lot of money. This mentality is so deeply rooted in modern society that everyone takes it for granted. And they forget that there are actually other ways. It depends on us, the parents, what will be the mentality of the future society that is growing now.

We live in a colorful but complex world. A world overflowing with information, which if one does not know how to use, it remains useless. In order for this to happen, each person has their own thought pattern. Every day we take bits of information and impose them on this model of ours. And then we make decisions that define the way we live. The big question here is whether our thinking model is correct. And it was not built in one day, it was created and developed since childhood, under the influence of family and environment. To verify that our model is working correctly, we must always look for evidence. Facts to support the claims. Are the results repeated when we apply the model? What are they? The answer to these questions will help us understand if the way we are approaching is the right one. It will help us understand and make sense of our relationships with others. But most importantly, we will understand what to pass on to our children to help them build the best possible model that will make their lives better and more meaningful.

Life is full of obstacles. And our greatest responsibility as parents is to teach our children not to fear them. To teach them to bravely face obstacles and accept them as another challenge, the solution of which will bring new opportunities. Because the opposite equals failure. The opposite means that the child will turn any challenge into a problem and run away from it out of fear. Until he becomes a person who finds no meaning in life.

All over the world, business and education are facing a huge generation gap. On the one hand, the total number of people is increasing. But the generation gap is widening. Health care is improving, life expectancy is increasing, which also increases the representatives of the number of generations in one period. Today's 50-year-olds are no longer perceived as old men at the end of their lives. They are vibrant physically and mentally and create 80% of the nation's wealth. Their children have grown up, they are not burdened with financial and emotional worries and this makes them more adaptable to the new way of life.

The greatest danger is facing the future without having invested in our best resource. And it is to cultivate our unique abilities. This must become a top priority in today's and future education and training. A profound transformation of education systems around the world is needed. Because preschoolers are full of creativity. But in the last year of high school, it is suffocated or completely destroyed. To solve this problem, we must first understand how and why this choking occurs. In the past, reforms took place mainly in two directions. On the one hand, more and more access to education is being given and the number of people graduating from university is increasing. On the other hand, educational standards are constantly rising. Today, however, we see that this is not enough. The solution is somewhere else.
